About me

Iwan Ostanin

Founder of ninatso · Energy markets, risk and analytics

For more than 15 years I have worked in European power, gas and commodity markets: in risk management, portfolio steering and contract structuring, in Berlin, Hamburg and London.

I know the pricing logic of energy suppliers from the inside. As a trader and risk manager on the supply side, I valued complex linear and non-linear products, advised risk committees at C-level and structured PPAs with industrial off-takers and generators. This knowledge feeds directly into benchmarking, PPA evaluation and hedging strategies.

Data analysis is no add-on: I build my own tools in Python, SQL and Power BI, from portfolio dashboards to evaluating day-ahead positions against balancing energy prices.
